AMC-18 (105W C Band) to be relocated??

I was just looking at the SES website and it appears that AMC-18 is to be relocated. Is this really the case? If so, when & where?

SES-11 is scheduled to replace AMC 15 and AMC 18 this fall at 105º W. Launched by Space X. But I don't know where those two older satellites will go.

Thanks for the info lost_mesa! After looking at SES-11 on their website I see that now. Hopefully AMC 15 & 18 will still be used for something of interest to FTA enthusiasts.

It's quite possible AMC-15 could move to 85w..now that AMC-16 seems " dead" or its beam set to S.America..

85w is not dead. It currently has several data (non TV/Radio) DVB services.

Thanks for the info about 85W- was my fav feed satellite lol. Was beginning to wonder if the recent "weather satellite" launch overseas might've somehow damaged it. Can't find a mention of it on SES website-they don't even list anything at 85W any more. Or, maybe somebody else owns the satellite...
