Am I Thinking Right On New Package Prices

Currently I have the following:

DVR Advantage 49.99
3 Premium Package 30.00
(HBO, $10 HD, and Upgrade to AT 250)
Additional Receiver 7.00
Total 86.99

New Feb. Pricing will be this I think. DVR Advantage 57.99, 3 Premium 31.00, Additional Receiver 7.00, for a total of 95.99.

I've been thinking about what to do when the new prices start. When they add the rumored new HD channels, I think I would be OK with getting an HD Turbo Package. So...is my calculating right for the following. I am trying to acheive roughly the same channels I have now in HD. I would get....

DVR Advantage Turbo Gold 59.99
2 Premium Package 22.00
(HBO, and Upgrade to AT250...don't need HD package
now because it's in Turbo right?)
Additional Receiver 7.00
Total 88.99

So I save only 7 bucks doing this, right? Also very important to me...Is my RSN included in HD with Turbo packages? I'm sure the locals are, right? Any help from those that have switched to Turbo would be great! Thanks

That's probably right unless they don't count the $10 HD as a "premium", but a separate charge, in which case it might be $1 more.

That chart they showed had prices for up to 6 Premiums. There are 8 possible if you count HD and HD Platinum. So maybe they don't

But I guess you would never get more than 6 , because beyond that, you'd just get AEP.

Correct, once you go TurboHD, you are losing a lot of SD.

I just switched to TurboHD Gold and my kids lost all the Nickelodeon channels. There are still the Disney ones in HD thankfully. Hopefully there will be some Nick HD ones soon ...

Since the RSN is in both HD and SD what happens when there is no HD on ... do you get the SD channel?

After reading Megamike's post, maybe the above is wrong? Do I need to upgrade to AT250? Does Turbo Gold already include AT250? Then all I need to do is add HBO.

Okay never mind ... doing a little searching in the forum, the AT250 Bonus Pack was for DVR Advantage 200 users who wanted the AT250 channels too, so they would add $10. Considering TurboHD Gold has all of the AT250 HD channels, I do not think this would be needed.

Therefore, I would see the package costs as (Feb 2009 Pricing):

59.99 DDA TurboHD Gold
15.99 HBO
07.00 Extra Receiver
82.98 Total
