Ok. Got a bit of a problem/annoyance.

Just moved and had it all installed last night. However, after the guy left I realized all my remotes where controlling all the receivers. Here is my setup.

  • 625
    • 1 room setup (Living Room)
    • Only remote used is 5.0 IR
  • 522
    • 2 room setup (daughters' rooms)
    • Receiver is in Daughter 1 room (TV1)
    • TV1 uses 5.0 IR
    • TV2 uses 6.0 IR/UHF Pro
This is what happens.
  • Both the 5.0 IR remotes control TV1 on both the 625 and the 522.
  • The 6.0 IR/UHF Pro remote controls TV2 on the 522 and TV1 on the 625.
So in other words, we can be sitting in the living room watching the 625. Daughter 2 changes her channel with the TV2 UHF remote for the 522 and it changes the channel on our 625 as well.

Talk about annoying!!

Does this make any sense? LOL. What can we do to remedy this?
Thanks in advance!

Read the instruction book and change the address on the three remotes so they are all different you can use addresses 1-15

Easy.....shut down one of your receivers. Preferably the one that is comnnected to one tv..
Now take the remote marked #2 to the room where the other receiver is located...
Ok.. Press the "sys info " button on the remote..
Take the #2 remote. Press and hold the "SAT" button until all others light. Release. Key in any number from 2 thru 16. Press the pound key. As the SAT light flashes on the remote, press the "RECORD" key.....You should see the TV2 Remote address change on the sys info screen....Once that's done ..test the remote....You should be all set...Oh. Don't forget to power up the other receiver.
