Does anyone know what dish/dishes that Aldi super market used/uses? I have one given to me, but waiting for contractor to take it down when he has time. Here are pix of it, best I could do. E_V

Hey, guys, I got it Saturday. Yes, it is a Prodelin series 1123, a 1.2m with an Atraxx NPRM, which is 6.5' by 6.5' square. Now to make a bracket to mount a proper lnb on it, be it Ku or C/band. E_V

I have one very similar to yours - this is what I did for mounting an LNB. This dish is currently not in use, but is stored in my barn.. hence the dirt :(.. When I had it up and running the results were very impressive.

Nice score, nothing like a free 1.2m commercial dish setup. They are renovating the ALDI store near here and it's closed until Thursday...time to go for a little drive.

Be careful with the lnb mount. The one on my Prodelin 1.2m turned out to be made of Magnesium. I ground it out for a standard lnb using a high-speed grinder, and the sparks started the back of my left hand on fire and I couldn't put it out. Throwing water on magnesium just makes it burn all the hotter. That was a couple years ago, and the Silvadene crème got it to all heal just fine.

Just don't do it the way I did. If you have magnesium mounts, make some sort of complete replacement out of something else.
