AL Central 2010

One thing I noticed was the HP umpire had a strike zone the size of Montana...damn how many balls were outside the zone and he called strikes?

I didn't see much of the game, but as far as the strike zone goes, at least it's not the size of a postage stamp like alot of them.

I'd like to see them call it the way it's suppose to be called ....
The belt buckle to the knees is stupid.

no Jimbo...we're talking Rick Vaughn from Major League "Just a bit outside" yet called a strike

Even the Twins announcer said "boy he (HP Ump) must be cold or just want this game to end because if its near the plate ya better swing at it".

Despite being a Detroit guy, it's good to see that Liriano has recovered quite well. He is the real deal.

On a Detroit note - I'm very impressed with Austin Jackson. Granderson has nothing on this kid in the fielding department. He needs to cut down the K's, but he is hitting around .325. Not to shabby.

Zumaya is also impressive so far this season.

Tigers left their gloves in Texas. 4 errors.:rant::rant::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
That pretty much cost us the game. Additionally, as much as I like a good pitching duel the ump behind the plate last night sucked - he called everything a strike...just as long as the ball didn't bounce on its way to the plate. The pitchers were good enough without being given a stikezone the size of a Volkswagon.

While I'm impressed with Jackson so far, his D should be MUCH better.
2-3 times now I see him turn and run as fast as he can back toward the wall and play it off the wall or on a hop.......

Personally, I think his D is fine, but the Tigers need to move him back a little bit.

Saw an interesting stat today about Jackson. (from memory)
Jackson has 27 hits ( to lead all rookies) and 27 K's (way too many)
Not counting tonights game.

What a game!. 4 run 4th, 6 run 6th, Twinkies manager got ejected. Game 163 avenged!

oh good lord Tom...Seriously put down the pipe. You are just making yourself look worse.

Wouldn't "yesterday's game avenged" be a better line?

So the Twins lost. Yep they lost. I don't have a reason other than the bullpen blew it.

Calm down, this is only ONE game and has NOTHING to do with last year when the could not win the game that mattered the most.

FSD said it first.

I'll always hate the Twins. They stole our playoff run. They shouldn't have stupid 1 game playoffs. they should give the division title to the team that held first for 95% of the season.

exactly. What's next if god forbid Detroit wins tomorrow? Tom will think that win avenges game 4 of the 87 ALCS :D

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
