The Aisasat 5 launch internet live feed starts today at 3:20PM Eastern time..

Proton / AsiaSat 5 Launch

And C banders can pick it up on Galaxy 28


Live Broadcast:
US Domestic C-Band satellite time from CCI will start at 3:00 PM EDT US 11 August 2009 for test signals
All other test Signals will start at 3:15 PM EDT US 11 August 2009
Live Coverage Starting at 3:36 PM EDT US 11 August 2009
Launch is scheduled for 3:58 PM EDT US 11 August 2009
Launch Broadcast concludes no later than 4:30 PM EDT US (Firm Out)
In North America the broadcast may be seen on:
SATELLITE: Galaxy 28
TRANSPONDER: C-12
ORBITAL POSITION: 89 Degrees West
BANDWIDTH: 36MHz
DOWNLINK FREQ: 3940.000 Horizontal
 
The Asiasat 5 launch is a big deal for us in Australia. It will be replacing one of our favorite FTA birds Asiasat 2.

From here in Sydney the dish is to the far west.
