I inherited a C-band system (2 meter dish, 4D analog receiver, separate Ku and C band LNBs, some kind of motor) when I took over a very small community cable TV station. I really don't know much about satellites. I have only had to use the system once but it looks like we'll have much more need in the near future so I'd like to upgrade the system. I added a Traxis digital receiver last year so we could at least get more than the two or so remaining analog feeds.

My hope is that someone can suggest a good list of equipment that we should purchase to get this thing running well.

We pull down the occasional clear feed from various satellites to rebroadcast on the station. Although we don't have a lot of money I think we can scrounge up whatever is needed to get the job done and I am thinking that everything goes but the dish and maybe the motor. I really don't know much about this but I am up for a challenge and I am good with tools...

I know I need a receiver with component out. Nothing we grab is encrypted.

Thanks...
