Adding extra cable

I am in the middle of hooking up a new 722. I purchased 25ft of RG6 cable to run along the existing cable so that I'd have two inputs to new receiver. I came up about two feet short, and was wondering if I can use a regular barrel connector with another length of RG6 cable to get my needed length. Or do I need a different connector as it is RG6 cable?

just get a decent quality barrel connector. Forget the little gold ones, just get one from your local radio shack or satellite retailer.
