Here is what I have:

DP 500 Quad
2 - 811
2 - 311

Each feed by one of the four feeds.

Will a DP 34 switch work by feeding one 110 and one 119 feed into it and keeping the other two feeds connected to the 311's from the Quad. Take two outputs from the DP 34 and feed the 811's and then use the 3rd feed from the DP 34 and add a diplexer to feed the DVR. Then take the 4th feed to another 311.

I have not found if the switch in the DP 500 Quad can be hooked up this way.

I'm new at this stuff and had two dealers quote some high prices to hook this up. On even quoted the DP 44 switch, which I think is over kill for my setup. If I do get another dish the 34 should handle it.

A DP separator (not diplexer) only works with a DPP Twin and a DPP44.

By adding a DP 34 to your Quad, you will have 6 outputs available. Two from the Quad and four more from the DP34. You will have two more free outputs.

The DP34 will still work, you'll just need to run two feeds to the 942. If I am understanding you correctly you will have 1-942 2-811 and 2-311. That's a total of 6 feeds. Take two off the quad LNB into the SW34 to feed to 811's and 311's and the other two off the LNB to the 942

Once you use a DVR for a while you will want to pitch all the others, it is very painful to watch stuff LIVE and have to sit through the commercials. You could save $20 on additional receiver fees.

942 deal for existing customers?

Should I use 811 or 301 with analog TV ?
