I finally recieved the new Directv Active this morning. Let me tell yoy, this is cool. They changed the guide a little to make it more easier to read. They also added a few more nice little upgrades. I will be posting picture later today, I hope, of Active on my TV.

Active channel

I also recieved it this morning. Did you see the channels at the end of the guide after the music channels? They say to be announced, I wonder what will be on these channels? I live in New York city.

Active Channel - Not Yet in Upstate NY

I left my house at 6:30am in Upstate NY - still no active channel - at least when I pressed the Active button on the remote. How long does it take to Down Load... Thanks

inter-active services and channels, sorta like "super wink"

My receiver here in southern Va got the Active Download at 7:05 this morning.

its ok???

just for grins and giggles , what were you expecting?

moses parting the red sea ,,,,,live??

i just did a service call on my neighbors system and saw it for the first time, its a lot better than wink!!!

i cant see it , 2 r-10 tivos and a rca drd 480, none have it

I really like the active service..... My only wish is they had a screen (weather) with radar..... But overall, this was pretty good deal... I like the changes on the guide and the signal meter.....

It wasn't that I was expecting much, but I would have much rather seen them put their time and money into something different!! Like a HD STB that didn't suck.

The D10 firmware upgrade makes the User Interface much better.
When channel switching, graphics are clearer and it no longer black
screens to an unavailable channel.
I have not yet figured out how to use the mix channels. It looks like
a good idea that may not have much use.
But I miss the 30 skip timer that I had on my RCA receivers. I wish
DTV gives us that feature in the next upgrade. (fat chance ?)

To use the mix channels, just turn to one of them, and wait for a few seconds you will see it say "Interactive Enabled Use remote arrows to move highlight, then press SELECT to tune to that channel.", as you move the highlight, the audio will change to that pip.
