activating r15

I just paid my directv bill off!!! yay!!! Now I want to know how do I activate my r15 online? It shows up on my account as a receiver but it doesn't show any programming. It just tells me to call ext 711 when I tune to a channel.

you need to call to activate, once that is done they will turn on the card but they have to read you the spchiel about new 2 year commitment and 5.99 DirecTV DVR fee.

Make sure your DVR service is working before hanging up. They had a hrd time getting that going when I activated my R15. Then had to callback because my 2 Tivo's stopped working. Took another 30 minute call to get it fixed.
