In an effort to provide enhanced technical capabilities, consolidate transponder capacity, and replace some soon-to-be discontinued hardware, Disney ABC Cable Network Group is changing the satellite transmission system for ABC Family East and Disney East. Over the next several months, both feeds will be converted to a Motorola Digicipher II transmission system.
The project will occur in two phases; the first step will be to transition ABC Family East to the new digital system. This part will be completed by Friday, September 29, 2006; the analog version of ABC Family East will no longer be available after that date. The Disney Channel East phase will not occur until early spring 2007. We will be sending you additional infomation about Disney Channel as the project progresses.
