Could anyone tell me how much it would cost me to cancel service on a Choice Extra package with HR21-100 DVR 1 yr into the contract? I'm having tree issues and i'm afraid it would be cost prohibitive to cut down 2 giant oak trees. My dish is already mounted on the crest of my roof so I don't really have any more options. My back yard, which faces south, slopes uphill and is full of big trees.

It's pro rated at around $ 20 p/m left on your contract.
If you have exactly 1 year (12 months) x $ 20 = $ 240 to get out of your contract.

You might also get a service call scheduled to come out and check. If the installer can determine that you have no Line Of Sight, they may let you out of the contract for free.
