A while ago I bought a new HD DVR receiver from Direct TV and the installer moved my old DVR (non HD) into my bedroom. What I didn't realize is that he didn't run a second line so that I could record one show and watch another on the bedroom receiver. Is this as easy as running a line from the 6x8 multi-switch (output) into the bedroom and plug it into SAT IN - 2?
I will add that It appears that there is a line running from output 7 on the multi-switch into that room and it's not hooked up to anything. I plugged it into SAT IN - 2 and still wasn't able to accomplish what I'm trying to. I was able to record a show but couldn't switch the channel without cancelling the recording. So I'm thinking I may be missing something here. Any help would be much appreciated.
