For movie geeks and thirty-somethings who obsess over SciFi shows, a DVD streets that I highly recommend.
William Shatner plays himself! (... and sings a rap version of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar)
Eric McCormack (Will from Will and Grace) lusts after the Green Orion Slave Girl from Star Trek.
His best friend can't afford to pay the electric bill but DOES find money to get every Planet of the Apes movie on laserdisc (OK, the movie was made ten years ago), and brags about his surround sound system.
The main character (who was turning 30 when the movie was made) also has nightmares where he is a character in Logan's Run and his life clock just started blinking red (for the newbies, the local government in the movie would have you whacked when you turned 30..... kind of like most actresses in Hollywood....). They also plan their social activities around a midnight movie showing of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Yeah, I know.... these guys are US.
It hits stores today.....
...oops, the first review is for the original DVD... here is the revised one....
