A different 622 sound problem

This has been pretty constant since I first noticed it a few weeks ago.

On some of my house TVs I feed 622 signals through coax. Now I notice that the volume is pretty low. My 96 year old mom can't hear it all even with her hearing aids up all the way and on my treadmill TV it's just barely loud enough for me to hear over the motors and my clomping.

Of course the component audio and HMDI audio are fine and the the two flat screen TV audio sections and two home theater systems can blow the windows out using 622 audio. It's just the modulated output volume that is just bearly usable for folks with OK hearing and useless to those that are hearing impaired. This is common on three TVs of different makes, sizes and ages. Also these TVs have noticeably more volume when tuned to OTA signals. And I'm certain that my old 522 put out a louder audio on coax.

There is one exception: a 27" Panasonic with stereo sound gets plenty of volume from the 622 RF audio where the others are all mono boxes.

Wait a minute...

The flatscreens have plenty of volume too when I tune to the 622 RF feeds and of course they are stereo too!

I'm starting to see a pattern.

Anyone else have this experience?

Any Dish insiders have a guess whether I could get a replacement for just this complaint? (now that we have EHDs it isn't a major trauma anymore to swap DVRs.)
