I am working on tuning my system, and currently I am on 99 W Galaxy 16.

When doing a blind scan on my Coolsat 6000, I am only picking up:

C-band - ABC HD -21, ABC SD -6, -9,-5 and some GDMX 4:2:2 TPs.

Ku - CBS Newspath

On global-cm.net and lyngsat, it lists more TPs. - Is this me needing to dial my system in better, specifically the lnbf? Is anyone else picking up other channels?

May need some tuning.
You should be able to lock most "DVB" TPs, you may not be able to view them, but they should lock.
Try entering the TP info manually and see if you get a lock.
I don't have a Coolsat, but are there settings for Blind Scanning "Fast" or "Detailed" if so try "Detailed"

I guess I should have titled this "picking up some TPs and not others."

What are the most common factors for only picking up certain TPs? Do I need to play with the skew more, or do I need to play with the F/L and F/D - or a combination of both?

I got my bsc621-2 picking up both c and ku with high signals, so I am a little reluctant to play with in until I know where to start. I just don't know why I am not picking up all TPs.

Not all TPs listed are active all the time, and lists are not always up to date.
Try doing a "Detailed" Blind Scan on 99 west C Band and list what you find.

all you are picking up is vertical..make sure the LNB can do horizontal too

What kind of LNB do you have?

When Blind Scanning, there are options for Polarity, "V" , "H", and "ALL"
Select "ALL" and "DETAILED" or try Manual Scans where you pick a single TP, try TPS with both Horizontal and Vertical Polarities.

I loaded a C and Ku list from gabshere, and going through the list I am only able to view V. All the H TPs have low quality and say No or Bad Signal on my Coolsat.

But as I said the C and Ku TPs I am getting are high quality. I found a good happy medium I think, so I want to be cautious of how I tweak it.

Should I just turn the 621 clockwise in small increments and test that way?

if your wanting to adjust the skew, mark where its at with a pencel or marker and then you can try adjusting.

i mark a ring around where it meets the scaler & an Alignment mark ( up & down) & on the scaler & lnbf
