942 question

I currently own an 811. It seems to constanly want to download the channel guide at very awkward times, like when I press the guide button.


My next purchase is going to be a 942, hopefully. Does the 942 do a better job of downloading the channel guide during the night, so it doesn't have to do it when you are watching? Or is it as bad as the 811?

The 942 downloads 9 days of guide info every night and stores it on the hard drive.

I don't recall ever having any problems with the 942 downloading the PG. Likewise, I don't ever recall ever having a problem my 811s either.

Never had a problem with the EPG on my 811 either and I really like the EPG on the 942.

Also, if you dont ever turn off your 811, you will never get a full two days of guide info. make sure you turn it off every night and it should update while you are sleeping.
