942 OTA behavior w/o HD pack?

Just wondering...if I cancel the HD pack on my 942, but keep my SD-locals will I still be able to record HD OTA via the name-based timers?

I am leasing, but at the time I paid my $250 I was told that I only had to keep the HD pack for 12 months.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you were given incorrect info. If you don't subscribe to HD you cannot continue to keep the 942 on a lease. Sorry.
