Just got my 922 installed. Love it, looks great!
But my EHD from my 722 isn't showing up. I am going to my media transfer and I don't see anything.
But when i turn off the EHD the 922 it says I have disconnected a multimedia device.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

same problem here. Just got off the phone with a CSR, and we went over the following items:

No logos in the channel guide (I know, not a big deal)
nothing but a white screen when I go to:
Weather
My Account
TV Everywhere
Search doesn't find anything except items I've downloaded from dishonline*
DLNA media streaming is SPOTTY. Most of the time it doesn't even see my dlna server.

*So since these all seem to be related to internet access, I did go to dishonline and downloaded one of the dan rather reports in hd. It took about 45 minutes, but did connect and download, so I know the device is getting out to the internet.

My guess with the white screens is the web server on the dish side is overwhelmed by all the new 922's coming online today, and timing out to the browser client in these boxes.

No idea why the EHD won't register.

CSR said they were all getting ready to go into a big meeting where they were going to report these issues, and they were getting many calls on this. I also spoke with the tech who brought the dish today, (he made a courtesy call back to me) and he said none of the techs installing 922s were having any luck with these features, or else he would consider bringing a different 922.

Yeah no logos here as well. The sling part is working fine. Been watching some TV at work :D
The EHD is a big for me. I transferred all my shows from my 722 to the EHD.

I got home from work and I can now see my EHD. I am transferring a couple programs to the 922 as I type.

It might take awhile for it to show up. Yesterday after the install it was not showing up. After I got home from work it was showing up.

I transferred a couple programs over to the 922 without issue. Then when I tried to move over this weeks Lost, and it corrupted it.

You should be able to see it on the menu screen all the way at the bottom. I think it's my media or something like that.

If you have an Ipad you can see this weeks lost in the ABC app.:D in HD too:D

fyi word of warning. I had EHD problems until after I let the receiver go on standby for an hour. Then everything started working, or so I thought.
I transferred one show to make sure, and it worked ok. I then did a larger batch, that corrupted all those recordings, AND removed them from the EHD. To make matters worse, all my regular recordings from after the transfer are also corrupted.

I've been working with (name redacted) a senior 922 specialist, whose advice is now to delete EVERYTHING from the 922, and going forward only transfer one or two shows at a time. Even then, if something does show up corrupted, that could affect other regular recordings.

Sounds like EHD restore is not really solid yet. If you have anything critical you need to keep, I would say use a different EHD for testing.

Having the same issue here. Nothing shows up at all under My Media Transfer or My Recordings.

EDIT: Came back from running errands and my channel logos appear in the guide. For the heck of it I unplugged the HDD, reset the receiver using the red button behind the door, and then plugged the HDD back in when it was finished starting up again. This time I got a message saying that the receiver detected that I plugged in a HDD and went under "My Media Transfer" and bam. The drive showed up. Transferring a show now. One at a time just to be cautious.

1) Is there no ability or plan to allow viewing a recorded show from EHD without first transferring it?

2) I do not see a way to view shows in the same folder (ie all episodes of Lost) individually on my EHD. How do I select them so that I can transfer one at a time?

Thanks to the forum for all the help.

1. No, you need to transfer it first.

2. Hit the Jump button and scroll across the top and click "Folders By Title" and then select "No folders". That will "unstack" programs that have the same title so you can see each individual episode. However...

I've been experimenting with the Transfer feature and I think I might have figured out how you can corrupt recordings. First I transferred about 4 separate shows and one show with 6 episodes. The 4 shows transfered just fine, but the show with 6 episodes did not make it. Okay, so then I transferred one show and this time selected one episode of three of another. Those went okay too. Now I selected the remaining two episodes left behind, and those were messed up to. So it seems like at the moment, you can only transfer a single episode of a show... otherwise any other episodes you had selected to get borked and you'll loose ALL episodes of the show regardless of prior episodes getting transferred successfully. So for the moment, I would only transfer a single episode of a show and delete it before transferring another. I hope EHD is high on the list of things that that need to be fixed quickly.

There are still issues copying data from EHDs to 922s. I just lost 2 recordings and locked my receiver trying to copy things over — needless to say I'm not going to try that again until we get new software!
