921 timers not firing

After a few months of no problems with the DVR on the 921, none of my timers fire anymore. Just selected 3 programs to record overnight, they showed up as scheduled to record in the PVR menu, but come morning not one recorded and no sign of the schedules in the menu - what gives?

Welcome to the 921 - a frustratingly unreliable device if ever there was one.

You should find, like most of us 921 owners, that regular reboots will keep your box running... more or less.

Once a week, maybe on your way to work or before you go to bed, hold down the power button for 20 seconds. The unit will reboot itself and most problems liked missed timers will not bother you.

For a while, the 921 did an automatic reboot every night, but in the last software update a good number of boxes - mine included - quit doing it.
