921 OTA tuner

Has anyone with a 921 cancelled their Dish service? I'm trying to find out if the OTA tuner/recorder will keep functioning after cancelling the sat service.

IIRC, it will continue to work, but MUST still have sat feeds available to both tuners. A single satellite (119) should do fine.

The box must see the signal for software updates and such even though there's no subscription.
