811 with outboard PVR Tivo, or?

Is anyone using an 811 HD receiver with a Tivo (or equivalent) recorder for HD?
I understand there are limitations like not having the Dish programming viewable for recording. But it seems like an inexpensive option while waiting for the mpeg4 issues to resolve themeselves.

There are many of us using Dvd Recorders...stamdalone tivos... as for me I use Replay's to archive.. from my 6000u, 921 and a D*Sir360... the quality is quite good.
