722k with Sling Adapter - wanted to add External Hard Disk - how?

I got the 722k with Sling Adapter and would like to add external hard drive with USB.
How to do this? Looks like the 722k receive only got one USB port and already used by
the Sling Adapter.

There are 2 USB ports, one port is on the back of the receiver under the ethernet port, the other is on the front, behind the door of the left side, the same door the smartcard slot is in.

Will a powered USB 2.0 work or perhaps an external drive with two ports 1 in and 1 out effectively daisy chaining both devices. The only issue I could see is power to the sling adapter.

Yes a powered USB hub would work. Daisy-chained through the usb hard drive *might* work ...

Ive got my EHD plugged in the back, and my Sling Adapter plugged in the front. I pulled the little door off too

external powered usb is the way to go. then you can have all kinds of things plugged in.

Does anyone know if the powered hub can use two external hard drives at the same time? I had read at one time the 922 could do 2 or 3 at a time, and was hoping the 722k could do the same.

Only 1 at a time.

The only problem that I found is that if your Slingbox is connected to a powered external USB hub is that it interferes with the Powerline connection (if you are using one). At least that was my experience.

What kind of hard drive are you looking at using?
