I've noticed several times that when I set up a show for recording all new episodes that if the episode repeats later in the week it skips the first showing for a later one. There are no conflicts that I can see and I can override the skip and it will record. But why does it do it in the first place?

Probably because you may have set the original timer with a "second showing" episode/time instead of the primary time.

Possible Bad Switch?

TV1 RF and UHF simultaneously?
