722K dish on demand won't connect

I am a first time user of an internet connected receiver. I have a 722k connected by direct cable to my router (D-Link DIR-615). When I navigate to "diagnostics" I get a "Broad Band connection OK" test result. If I run an "analysis" and "send data" I receive an confirmation back. But when I go to Dish-on-Demand and select one of the tabs for movies or TV shows the fields are empty and a selection of the "search" function results in an error message that the receiver can not connect to the server "error145"
I have been to Dish.com and performed each of the Internet connection troubleshooting steps with no change.

Can somebody help me ?:confused:
 
Well I don't have my 722Ks anymore but my Hoppers also throw me the error 145 a lot lately. Not sure about on the 722Ks but on the Hoppers I can press the "Record" button to reconnect and it works again then I can download whatever I want.
 
Dish Tech online chat seems to think that I have a router settings problem. I need to have ports 80 & 443 not blocked. I think I know how to do that but am not 100% sure. Can someone give some ideas about router setting I might need??
