722k Broadband question

At my parents house they have no phone line (cell only) and plan on getting rid of their broadband very soon, they just don't use it enough. What effects will this have on their 722k?

It will have no effect on the receiver itself. There will be no interactive features available but the receiver will work as normal.

How far will their guide info expand out?

It will not change, 7-9 days on 722k. The guide downloads through the satellite signal itself and not by the phone or internet.
