622 replacement question

Dish sent me a replacement 622 receiver. Turned out my old one was OK and it was the LNB.

Called Dish and they said I should keep the replacement because it was newer ... has there been and firmware upgrades to the receivers or is this just an uninformed CSR? The new one is also a 622 and says refurbished on the back. My original one is about 1 year old.

My opinion would be if you haven't had any dvr issues with your original send the replacement back to them as not needed.

In this case, it's up to you. Keep the old one, or the new one, just make sure you send one of them back to us. They won't have any differences in hardware or software.

The 622you have is also a refurb, it has been well over a year since rhey made any new 622s. The 722 replaced the 622 and the 722K replaced the 722 so your 622 is probably 4 years or older.
