I just wanted to post an FYI account of my 622 losing audio. I was watching a show on an HD Local and paused live TV. After about 10 minutes, I un-paused the show and there was zero sound! First I tested the audio and found that both the HDMI and optic outputs were not working on any channel. TV2 was working fine (via coax connection) Next course of action was the front panel reboot! I held the power button for 10 seconds and it reset, followed by the longest 5 minutes of acquiring satellite signal that I ever had to sit through! But once it acquired...the sound was back and everything was good on TV1.
However, TV2 now displayed a message to check my switch...so I ran a check switch diagnostic from the point Dish menu and still nothing. But, it just started working minutes later. So I'm not sure what that was all about, but I am back in business and didn't even need to call Customer (non)Support!
Has this ever happened to anyone? It kinda scared me how fragile this system seems to be!
