Installer came to put in my 622 (in place of my 921). I wondered if he would put in a Dish 1000 but he did not. (I have a Dish 500 for 119 and 110 and a seperate dish for 61.5). When there was a check switch problem, he did replace my 64 Switch by replacing the LNB's with Dish Pro versions. I told him I thought I might get a Dish 1000 since that`s where Atlanta HD locals are even though I don't subscribe. (I have grandfathered New York and LA networks and gave up Atlanta when my option was to keep distants or locals). I said I was hoping to get HD networks from New York at some point. The installer, who seemed pretty knowledgeable, let me in on a little secret. He said HD distant networks were coming May 4th! I've never seen that mentioned anywhere else but I had no reason to doubt him. So...take that information for what it's worth!

BTW...I really like the 622 although I can't seem to get proper formatting for my TV2 which is SD.

I trying to see what your setup is. You said your TV2 is SDTV so I assume its standard size not widescreen? I have an install scheduled for next weekend and my TV2 from the 622 is an HDTV (i know the 622 will only output 480i) but I am concerned about the widescreen aspect ratio on TV2. Will the 622 display in Streched 16:9 mode for SD stuff on both TV's and will the HD stuff be in its original format if broadcast in 16:9 just at 480i?

What you get on TV2 depends in part on whether you are using the 622 in dual mode or single mode. In dual mode, the TV2 output will get the signal from the TV 1 Tuner on one channel and the signal from the TV 2 tuner on a second channel. (I think the defaults are channels 62 and 60). In this mode, everything from the TV 2 tuner will be in SD 4:3 format (with HD programing cropped on the sides), and everything from the TV 1 tuner will be in the same format you are using for you HD set. How that format looks on your SD tv 2 will depend on the settings you use for HD.
On the other hand, if you use the 622 in the single mode, everything you get on TV2 will be in the same format as what you are using for TV1. How the output looks on TV 2 depends on two settings on the 622. Under the system setup/HDTV menu, there are three choices for your type of HDTV: 4:3 #1,
4:3 #2 and 16:9. In addition, there is a button on the remote that allows you to zoom or stretch the picture. You may need to play around with these various settings to find the output format that works best for you (the owners manual is not much help in this regard.)
I speak from experience. My HD set is 4:3, and I usually watch HD programing letterboxed (with black at the top and the bottom.) I had to try both of the 4:3 settings in the 622 format, and then play around with the picture format options for my HD set until I found the setting that provided me with what I wanted:
When an SD program is on, it fills the screen, and when an HD program is on, it appears letterboxed. I don't have to Zoom or make any changes for it to appear this way. When I watch on my second SD tv, the picture appears the same way. If this all sounds a little confusing, it is. I went through several days of having to change the zoom setting everytime I changed channels, until I finally discovered the combination of settings that work best for me.
