622 / Hdmi

Does anyone know if the 622 passes 5.1 channel sound via HDMI, or only 2.0 channels? And yes, I already know about the 622's horrid HDMI issues.

No, it only passes 2 channel via HDMI

Yeah, it doesn't affect everyone, but it is kind of a pain for those that it does affect.

As of right now as stated by Lakebum, it only passes 2.0. It is one of the planned upgrades for 2007, but no timeline has been given for now. Last I heard was maybe Q1.
