I have read somewhere that you can turn the BEV 6100 into a PVR by adding a hard drive to it. Any info on this would be helpful.

isnt there a mod that can be done to the 6000 to add firewire port for archiving to pc or digital vcr i know it exsists, just cant remember the name
looks like it called nextcom
heres their link

replacxe xx with tt
works with select dish irds and select bell irds
some voom irds, some dtv irds, and some cband irds
as well as select cable boxes
for example enables 6000 to see and record supposed mpeg4 channels

they're the ones. but it's so darn expensive! Why not just buy the 9200 from EVu? I think right now current Bell customers can buy it for like CN$600. Or you can lease it for $25.00/month even if you're are a "south of the border" canadian like I was:D . check kusat.com site.

what do you mean by limited HD channels?

169time is the firewire mod

r5000hd is the usb 2.0 mod

But why pay for the mod when you get limited HD channels?

Name based recording on a 9200?
