Effective 5/18 the cost for those who need a 61.5 dish for Voom channels, who cannot get one for free with thier locals, may go up.

New customer does NOT need a SuperDISH $99.95
New Customer NEEDS a SuperDISH $199.95
Existing Customer does NOT have a SuperDISH $99.95
Existing Customer HAS a SuperDISH $199.95

IMO, Basically, this was due to Charlie realizing at the last chat that he's been dishing out DPP44 switches left and right for $100.

They were supossed to charge the customer extra for using a DPP44, but several CSRs placing the service call let it slip. this makes it much more clear :)

One would need a SuperDish if your locals are on 105 or 121, or you have internationals on 121.

I must have got in under the wire. I have a superdish and ordered a 2nd 61.5 dish to get voom & cbs-hs. Said $99.95 installation fee + $5.00/month for voom channels. Scheduled 5/19/05 ;)

I called yesterday to sign up for Voom. Of course, when I got home, I didn't have the channels available. When I called to find out why, rep says I would have to lose my locals and internationals to get Voom, or else get a 3rd dish! Searched the forums, but couldn't find if this was really true or not so I decided to call Technical Support this morning. Tech support guy says I don't really need a 3rd dish as I can get internationals on 61.5 where Voom is. Told me to check, but can't since I'm at work. He didn't give me details on how to check, but I'm assuming I can do that by checking the switch?
