5LNB/SWM Splitter?

Hey folks... a quick question for you experts.

I just set up my RV with the 5 lnb / SWM Slimline dish. Since it will only have one receiver, do I still have to use the 8 port splitter that came with the unit, or can I come directly from the output side of the power supply (power inserter as they call it) to the receiver and bypass the splitter? I have an H23 receiver. I'd like to eliminate the splitter if possible

I like less clutter when possible.

Thanks. I just didn't want to mess up the LNB or the receiver by not using the splitter. I didn't think it should be a problem. I just removed the splitter and it worked fine.
