I have a 522 reciever that I want to use in an RV that only has a single lnb, simple dish. Can I hook up the 522 reciever without a switch directly to the dish to recieve some channels?
I didn't test this before we left. The RV owner said all you need is a Dish Network reciever to connect in to the dish, but now I am concerned that my newer 522 won't work on this "simple" of a setup.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

A 522 needs 2 lines connected to the back of the receiver to work correctly. NO you can't use a splitter except in limited circumstances. If looking at only 1 satellite with a Dish Pro LNB (band stacked) a high frequency satellte splitter can be used.
