The HD Blockbuster channel appears to be playing something different than the SD channel. Both HD channels appear to be playing the same thing. I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing. If SD and HD channels played different content, we would have more options. I remember when both Food Network and HGTV had different shows airing on the HD and SD feeds.

I guess there is less and less of things to add or report. I still wonder why we have sd versions of any channels . I would think by now all the national channels , except for carriage disputes, would be in full HD by now.

They keep the sd because (besides having to keep them per their contracts with the programmers) I would guess that 75% of the receivers out there are still just as only boxes.

There are some channels that I appreciate having the choice between SD and HD feeds. For instance, GSN. Many of the old shows originally in 4x3 get sent as stretch-o-vision on the HD feed, so it's nice to be able to fall back on the SD feed.

UFORO is FOROtv, a Mexican news channel owned by Televisa. Apparently this is the Univision owned 24 hour news channel that was previously announced and thus the U stands for Univision.
