5.1 sound and the HR22/Onkyo receiver?

I did an automatic setup of my receiver. It recognized all my speakers. But I don't think I have heard any sound from the rear speakers.

Is there a paricular program/channel that uses 5.1 sound? or perhaps I have to manually set the volume higher on the rear speakers?

i have same set up and i hear the rear speakers just fine, but remember the rear spearkers are surround and your wont hear continuous sound like the front or center.

In the setup menu on DTV box is dolby digital selected?

Oh damn I didn't realize I had to switch my receivers listening mode to Dolbydigital--I just did that and seems to be hearing now from the rears. I thought the receiver automatically picks the 5.1 sound and outputs.

And yes the box is dolbydigital-thanks!
