I need to use 4 lnbs to go to the side of my house and then split back out to 4, then I need to use some additional switches to run the 4 lnbs to 4 different recievers along with the cable signal on one line each. does anyone know what i can use to do this? I dont want to use 4 cables the length onf my house!:eureka

I don't 100% understand what you are asking... but it sounds like you need a Dish Pro Plus 44 Switch. Each LNB will feed to the 44 Switch, and each Receiver Port on the 44 Switch will feed 1 receiver (single or dual tuner)

A DPP44 need 1 cable from each LNB to the switch so that is 4 cables not 1. Each receiver from a DPP44 needs 1 cable so if he is only running 1 receiver yes it would work.

Right... but the only other way I can interpret what he is asking is if he can combine 4 sat signals onto one cable then split that out inside the house to feed 4 receivers..... which is not possible with Dish Network...

He has 4 orbitals he needs to run to a switch on the opposite side of the house and wants to run 1 cable instead of 4 into the switch, then go back to 4 at the switch. A dish pro plus 44 switch will work for this but I know of no ways to combine the 4 cables into 1. I would start searching for a alternative installation path. Ive never even heard of a way to do what you are asking.

.... or you could run the 4 cables into the attic, through a vent and come out on the other side....

put the switch at the dish

Install the receivers on that same side of the house as the dish. Use a four channel modulator to create a lineup and send that down that wire. Get UHF kits from Dish to make your four receivers UHF remote ready. System will only be SD.

I don't recommend mounting your receivers to the side of your house.

Duh.

Depending on the layout of his home, he could accomplish this by bringing the four lines into the home right there and setting up a rack and then distributing it out to the rest of the house that way. What I'm trying to point out is that you don't necessarily have to have the box right there at each TV to have satellite. This is a fairly common setup in commercial installations.

I know what you meant... the original poster's question has been so muddled though.... I just thought I would add to the confusion and keep the trend going.
