4K Joey and Echo Dot oddities

I have a 2nd Generation Echo Dot connected to my 4K Joey. I realize the Alexa functions only work with the H3, but it does play bluetooth audio on the Dot. However, when I tell Alexa to change the volume, she says "I'm sorry, this device cannot be found." I would think the Dot should still recognize normal commands when it's connected to the Joey, right?

Oh just say Alexa volume 3. Works on mine.

Latest software made Joey2 compatible with Dot, might want to see if it works with 4k model. Had to unlink & set up again through the Alexa app before it became recognized, now voice controls are working.

Tried and it doesn’t find it. Only sees the H3

After doing some more tinkering this afternoon, I discovered that the Dot can indeed control a 4K Joey. I had to unlink the Dish skill in the Alexa app, then link it again. Setup has to be done through the H3 as the 4k Joey doesn't have the Alexa app in the Home screen.

Once it was paired, I could then choose which Dot I wanted to control which receiver. I have my kitchen Dot controlling the H3 and the bedroom Dot controlling the 4K Joey. It works VERY well. I am loving these Dots.
