Hey guys, I have a dsr-905 4dtv receiver, it works great except tonight i cannot get the ipg to download. I even tried unplugging the receiver and going to G1-3.

Still no guide, it says "searching for information" at the top of the screen but then after about 4 minutes just reverts back to channel 100 (hbo) which i sub to.

I tried doing an online rehit with nps website, I entered my email address and unit id, website says i have entered an invalid id number. I thought maybe a rehit would fix my guide.

Not that big of a deal anyway but the guide is convienient.

Is the unit id the one that i find on the options-sytem settings-system status screen that shows "unit id" and hit counter?

There is also a unit id on the back of the receiver, i cannot remember which one i used for my authorization.

Try pressing options 6-0-5 on the right look for ID under ID if it is 01 then your ok if it says 00 then your guide authorization is up and you will need to reactivate it.

When I subbed my 922 they had my read off the Unit ID under Options | 6 | 5 (where you see the trip counter etc).

IPG lost in Power bump

Of course my provider is closed. We had a power bump yesterday and my IPG is gone. The entire system is on a Panamax AC Power regulating conditioner, so I know no transients got through and everything else is fine. Tried forcing a D/L on G1 ch 3 by holding down the guide button...no luck. Nightly d/l no luck...auto rehit...no luck. Also unplugged the 922 trying for a remapping...no luck...Under status on G1 Ch 3, it shows US for Superstar and my subs are fine.

All I get is 'no info",,,, any idea for anyone?

thanks guys

Hey thanks for all the help, I figured the guide was down last night, maybe for maintenance on their system. I did learn something from the above post, a little more about the diagnostic screen A. Thanks again for all the quick replies.

I wish all of you a happy and prosperous new year- Trucker:)

Hmm, wierd. I got my guide last night. Lucky me :). It tuned itself to G1 over night and I've got guide right now.
