4 dish install compatible with which receivers?

Is there any way to tell which receivers will work with 110, 119, 148, and 61.5?

I purchased an 811, and followed the great instructions given, and ended up not being able to get all 4 satellites to work on the 811. I take it that this unit is too old to be affected in a positive way by software upgrades. Am I right? Or .... is there something more with the receivers that I need to consider before purchasing one that actually works to fit my need?

My 921 and 501 will get 4... did you get a dpp44 switch spike?

No. I got a 34 and a 21.

Where did you get your 921?

The 811 supports 5 locations. Do you have another receiver to test this with? Also, some of us are of the opinion that the DP34/DP21 cannot get enough power from only using 1 DP21. The DP setup was never intended to run 4 locations. That is why the DP+44 has a power inserter. I was suprised when I found out that they added that cascade to the system.

I only have one 811. I wouldn't mind buying another one, but, if it is going to be the same story that I'm facing now, I don't want to do that.

Actually, the second receiver hooked to a second DP21 might make it work. Having 2 receivers supply voltage would be better than just 1.
