My old Amazon fire TV that has Kodi on it plays 4:2:2, but the Newer android box that has an Amlogic 905 that i upgraded too to play HEVC codec will NOT play 4:2:2. The problem with the older amazon box, is it won't play the newer codecs, and its not QUITE fast enough, as it does a bit of skipping.
Both The AmazonFire and The Android box are running Kodi 16. I thought the problem might be in the android box has the 64bit, and didn't have full support for codecs?
Is anyone running a newer android box with the Rockwell chipset or Amlogic Chipset where either VLC in android or KODI in android play the 4:2:2 video signals.
When i play it on my Amlogic 905, its a very psychedelic collage of colors... Not what I'm looking for.
