3x4 switch

I travel in a motor home and would like to know how to add an independent Directv receiver to the bedroom TV. Presently we have a Directv DVR connected to the main tv cabled through a Winegard distribution box. I am not very technically minded but if it is only a matter of buying and connecting a switch box I could do that. Has anyone done this and can you help. By the way, the receiver I want to connect is just the plain receiver. No DVR, no HD.

Not 100% sure what's in the Winegard distribution box, but I saw in the title of your post 3x4 switch. If that's what I think it is then you have a multi-switch which allows you to connect multiple receivers to one dish. You should be able to run cable from the output of that to your 2nd receiver. If you don't have a multi-switch already, you can always put one in before the DVR and then use the extra outputs for othe receivers.
