I have a 3 LNB oval dish with four cable runs coming from it. Is it possible to split two of the runs using a 3x4 multiswitch and create 6 lines total? Also how do you know which line is the 14v and which is the 18v line?

Actually, you CAN use a 3x4 switch off an oval dish - if you understand that the 4 feeds coming out of that 3x4 will NOT have access to anything on 110/119. If the receivers are NOT HD boxes & you don't need access to any local channels from 119, or if you don't need Spanish/Chinese or don't care about the couple of public access channels from 119, it'll work just fine. This would be good for someone who wants to hook up addtional non-HD Tivo's to their dish & doesn't need the slots as stated above. ALL of the outputs of the oval dish are identical, so it doesn't matter which 2 go to the switch.

The 2 other feeds coming out of the oval dish will continue to work just fine as is.

If we knew where you were at, we COULD tell you if your locals are on 119... ;) ;) ;)

Thanks guys I really appreciate the help. The phone help at directv and the people at radioshack did not know the answer to my question.
