With the launch of 3D programming options, DISH Network will now add another great service to our spectacular lineup. 3D is just one more way we continue to strive to add best-in-class technology, and the latest and greatest content to our customer offerings.
DISH is thrilled to announce that our launch of 3D programming will start with the movie “Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” on November 30, 2010 for $7.99!

Additional Information Regarding 3D Since this is our first offering of 3D programming content, we would like to provide additional important information
regarding 3D. Please see below.
• What is 3D and what makes it special? 3D allows HDTV viewing to come to life. This is achieved by adding length as a third dimension to the TV screen’s height and width dimensions. By adding depth to the viewing experience, some objects seem closer, and others seem further away.
• What is required to view 3D?
o ViP 922
o 3D programming content
o Compatible 3D HDTV, and applicable 3D glasses
o HDMI cable connection between the ViP 922 and a compatible 3D HDTV (the HDMI port and cable that comes
with the ViP 922 will support 3D viewing).
• Which 3D HDTVs are currently compatible with DISH Network equipment? As the number of model 3D HDTVs grows and becomes available in the marketplace, please continue to check DISH’s 3D webpage located at
DISH Network's 3D Site FAQ for details on what 3D HDTVs are compatible with our different equipment.
• Are there any restrictions while viewing 3D content on DISH equipment?
o Picture-in-Picture (PIP) features are not available while viewing 3D content.
• How do customers order 3D movies from DISH Cinema? The ViP 922’s “DISH On Demand” menu will have a new area called “3D On Demand.” Customers can order 3D content through the DISH On Demand menu the same way they order other Video On Demand content. It will be clearly identified as 3D content.
Additionally, when a customer places the order for a 3D Video On Demand movie, their model ViP 922 receiver will check to make sure their TV is 3D compatible. If it is not compatible, the customer will see an error popup message explaining the issue.
