my opinion:

I believe the 421's have been used by some of the members on the forum, and perform as well as any in this difficult situation.
Search the FTA Department for the full part number, and I'm sure you will find discussion.

The conical scalar is generally reported by most members to give better performance with an offset dish.

As for LNBF's, I would use a C2 with dual outputs, because you can expand to more receivers in the future.
If you look in our Review section, you will find favorable discussions on it.

You may also find a DMX741 or Ck-1 dual band LNBF offered with the conical scalar.
If so, those would be good choices for C-band, too.
However, reception of Ku band on a small dish using one of the dual band LNBF's is quite difficult.

My suggestions are based on buying hardware still useful after moving beyond mini-buds.
The LNBFs listed above perform quite well on 6-, 8-, 10-, and 12-foot BUDs.

While there is a lot of material to digest and search through to get a better picture, here is a small reading list.
It's not all-inclusive, so you still need to search well beyond these few suggestions.
