322 Remotes Question

I was looking at getting the dual tuner 322 to replace 2-301's. I know the 322 comes with IR for TV1 and UHF for tv2. My problem is my receiver locations and where the 322 would be installed. The 322 would go in a closet in the basement but control 2 bedrooms on the first floor. TV2 would not be a problem but the remote use for TV1 would. My current 301 in the closet has an IR to UHF pro upgrade kit to convert the iR to uhf. Would this kit work for the IR TV1 on the 322(or for all praticall purposes...would this solution work on any of the dual tuner receivers that use IR for TV1)?
