30w is a GO!

OK, I am back! Been busy training with the new job and have been out on my own for 2 weeks now, and am finally getting into the grove of having time off. Anyway, I threw my Primestar in a bucket up on my hill and wanted to see if I could get 30w, since I can't on the motorized anymore. So, got the compass out, dialed in the elevation and within 30 seconds I had 30w! I even can get the Supershow and Superland at 46% on the Fortec. The others are 60-66% on the Fortec. So, I am going to plant the extra Primestar and aim it at 30W!

I get 43w on my motorized setup. 30w makes the Primestar look like it is pointing towards the ground. I would never have imagined it would pick something up like that!

yep 30W does look like its at the ground but that is a fun satellite to watch (even if you don't speak spanish)

There was a TON of tv and audio services on the other night when I did a scan. Way more now than when I was able to get it on my 80cm. I hope to get a chance soon to get it set up

I dont have Hispasat anymore. Moved that dish to another spot on the clarke belt

Yeah I tried to get 43W a while back with my Primestar, but to no avail. I think maybe it could be my neighbor's trees, but I plan on giving it another try soon. As I couldnt see 43W I didnt even attempt 30W at the time.

OK! I got the temp Primestar in a backet setup to 30w. 66-73% on the Fortec and the Supershow and Superland tp's are 46-53%. I will get some cement and a pole and make it perm in the next few days. I love 30W! I get about 45-50 tv and a bunch of audio channels on it
