301 remote ?

i have a dish remote used for the 301.it says 3.0 IR on the back 119946. it doesn't work but the red lights come on when i push sat,tv,ect.i changed batteries and still nothing.it has a little green button with a R on it.i thought maybe it meant reset so i held it in for about 5 seconds,the buttons at the top flash but that's about it.is there something else i can try?

Pull your smart card out and wait for the info screen to come up. When it comes up push the satellite button at the top left then the red record button near the middle of the remote. This should reset the remote and the receiver to the same address.
