301 not getting locals

my 625 and vip 612 are getting locals but not my 301 reciver. any idea why?? i have tried rebooting it. would check switch maby work

what locals?

If they're Utica (just a guess) the 301 wont get them. Utica locals are 8PSK and the 301 cannot receive 8PSK. The 301/501/508 & 510 are the only Dish Pro receivers that cant get 8PSK

Dish might upgrade you to a 311 (pretty much the same thing) that CAN get 8PSK

update

Looks liek recently (an hour ago) they moved the locals from 8PSK to regular QPSK

so the best thing to do on the 301 is pull the a/c cord and wait 2 minutes. Then plug in. They should pop in

i called them and they are sending out a tech tommrow to check it out. i will update with the cause when i know

the 301 can't view them but maybe there is a slate telling you that you need to upgrade. Basically you need a new receiver in place of the 301

turns out the software is the issue on it. they are sending me a hd non dvr reciver to fix the issue. not sure what modle ill be getting

you would get a 211 probably if they say a non DVR HD receiver
